Last fall I took a sketch class that motivated me to carry a watercolor notebook with me when I travel. The idea was to sketch quickly, not to worry about every detail, but instead to draw an "impression" of the visual image. It's been a challenge for me. This was a perfect day in Oregon. The sun came out for just a few hours, allowing me to hike up to this light house and sketch. The red and ink was added later.
